This from a news article on BBC News site today: Selfridges Oxford St will start selling Christmas goods from August 2 - 145 days before Christmas!
And:
Geraldine James, Selfridges Christmas Shop’s buying manager, said: “Christmas is coming earlier each year.
“I can see a time when we offer a capsule Christmas collection throughout the year.”
In celebration of Selfridges turning 100, they will be unveiling store windows that show “what Selfridges might be in [another] 100 years time”.
The windows are being designed by ad agency Wieden+Kennedy (blog post here).
We’ll of course post some snaps when the windows are unveiled in the summer…
